We happened across this Restuarant and very pleased we did. Great food and service enjoyed by us all. Very good value too.

We went to the Restaurante Mi Secreto as we were impressed by the decor. We therefore opted to have our lunch here. As we had seated, we had asked Carlos (I assume the owner) whether he spoke English so we could try to order something....His reply was in Spanish that I'm Spainish and walked off. We were in complete shock at his rudeness and his lack of helpfulness with the menu. Even though we sat by the kitchen at no point did he or his partner gave us eye contact. We felt completely ignored whilst they approached other customers for their orders. We then decided to try to decipher the menu by putting it into Google translate on our mobile phones. Whilst we were doing this a lovely waitress (behind the bar) saw that we were struggling and provided us with an English menu (which was literally arms length away). This could have been provided in the first place by Carlos, who instead just didn’t want to deal with us because we were English. The waitress was very helpful and even explained the dishes to us. Even though the food was amazing (credit to the chefs) we were completely disappointed with how we were treated. It was our first trip to Zaragoza and this restaurant was the down point to our trip. We felt penalised because we were British and unable to speak fluent Spanish. I would have expected him to welcome us and at least try to explain the menu to us or just say in a polite tone, he can’t understand or speak English. Even though we were treated badly we appreciated the good food and commended him for it, to which he replied "thank you, you're welcome". Thankfully the lovely waitress made this experience not so awful by her great customer service skills and patience. It's a shame I couldn't say that for the owners.More
