The seafood paella had prawns and mussels BUT the shells were so small that there wasn't any room for the clam, no other types of seafood could be found but lots of Spanish rice and too salty, Why call it seafood paella and not just...shrimps & mussels paella? What a disappointment! Avoid and go somewhere else!More

My wife love this place more than I did. For that reason it got 4 stars. We dined here twice. Good home cooked food with friendly Filipina staff who are run off their feet at this busy restaurant. Don’t get me wrong the food wasn’t...bad and generous serves. I did love their gambas as a dish and my wife loved octopus, soup and eggplant. It gets very busy as prices are very good so you may need to wait for a table.More

No Puertorican food on menu! Uncomfortably hot inside, older server seemed bothered to explain dishes. Don’t bother!

As a Puerto Rican, I was so excited to go to this restaurant. I went tonight with a friend and the waiter was absolutely terrible and the food was almost as bad. The Sopa Puerto Rico was bland. The pork chop wasn’t seasoned well and...was under cooked. I brought this up to the waiter and he ignored me and continued to serve the other guests - he couldn’t even be bothered to clear our plates and we waited patiently for quite awhile before saying anything. I had to ask another waiter to help us and he was very kind. Couldn’t wait to leave and I highly suggest finding an alternative restaurant.More

Found this restaurant on the web and decide to give it a try. One thing to let you know is you can not pre book a table here. We just turned up on the off chance of getting a table. It was very busy and...very popular with the locals and tourist. It is excellent value for money and dose a wonderful selection of food. If you do not get in the first time try again, you will not be disappointed.More

We go to Puerto Rico every year when we visit Madrid. It's an incredibly priced menu, and the meals are delicious. You can't get a home-cooking Spanish meal like this anywhere else. The staff is friendly, and there is a grandmother there that is full...of love and service. We told my parents about it, and they canceled all other reservations for that trip to eat there! Highly recommended. And who knows, you might see me there when you visit.More

Great food. Great prices. Great location. I would definetely recommend checking it out. Make sure you get here early since there aren’t many tables and sometimes there are queues.

I used to come here a few years ago, sadly on my recent visit I found that this budget restaurant is a poor shadow of what it used to be - the food and service were just ok but it was disappointing to be charged...for bread - I'm afraid Puerto Rico isn't what it used to be!More

The Restaurant Puerto Rico does not take reservations. The restaurant is especially busy after 9:00 PM We came back a second evening due to long line waiting to get in the first night. The food is excellent and the prices extremely reasonable. They have a...multi-lingual menu that makes ordering a breeze. The service was no frills but very efficient. We ordered multiple dishes and they were served very quickly.More

I'm Puertorrican and I visit the place curious about the name. Nothing related to Puerto Rico... 😆 We order a "tortilla" and a steak. Taste were just ok. Also, the sangría was only average. We have flan for dessert, and it was very good. However,...it's a good alternative when you're in Madrid...More

This restaurant had good reviews so we decided to try it. We had the roasted chicken and it was very good. The place was clean and had a very local feel.

Sometimes you chance upon a gem of a place and Puerto Rico is one such. Serving us up till midnight, midweek with an almost full house, the welcome was outstanding, surpassed only by the food. Oh and did I add that a magnificent bottle of...red was to be had for 10 euros (house red was 4 euros a bottle). As for the chef’s palate… give that person a job in any top London restaurant, they would not be out of place. Their version of the ‘tarte au citron’ is to kill for … not what you’re expecting. OMG - I’m salivating as I write. I envy anyone who hasn’t yet eaten here for you have that treat to come. FANTASTIC.More

Exelant delicious food, Big variety. We took the menu and other plates. The menu cost about 12 euro. Everything we tasted was very good. The stuff was friendly and with a smile, although they where so busy. The only disadvantage was that we had to...wait 20 minutes, in a row, to sit, but i think it was worth every minute of it.More
