Mediocre service, they didn’t give us a table even though we had a reservation. They apparently lost it. No drinks given for free for that. The tapas are CRAZY expensive for no reason. Shrimps taste poorly like garlic, croquettes terrible. Only tapas we enjoyed was...the manchego cheese cause of its nice Marmelade topping. Even dessert was mediocre not tasty. Would not recommend for dinner but for a quick bite and drinks. Waitress was annoyed we Asked for more water. We were offered a table 1 hour after our reservation. And we didn’t even got offered our dessert. POOR SERVICEMore

First time I was here in summer and i loved it. Some nice drink variations, amazing tapas and nice service. And a possibility to sit outside. It was my perfect bday dinner. Last week i gave I finally made it there and again. Maybe due...to my high expectations, but the 2nd was far from the first one. Food was good, but not extraordinary good. Service was ok but the atmosphere in the restaurant - even inside - is very nice. cant wait to go there again and let's hope they are back to the level of the first visit!More

We enjoyed this nice place: the setting was very nice and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately it was quite crowded, so it took a while until we got our food and one item was forgotten. The food we got was delicious, so we do not...complain.More

Sometimes, after a bad experience with a restaurant, once you give it a second chance, it ends up surprising you positively. After all, which restaurant never experienced a bad evening? Unfortunately, however, this is not the case with 'der fuchs und die trauben'. Their service...is still sloppy and the food also left a lot to be desired. I say this with much regret, but for good food and nice service, avoid the hype and go less mainstream.More

Really good food, sweet & salty, eggs in nearly all forms, and enough veggie options, but you need some patience. Boozy Brunch is my favourite! :) They offer several, colourful mimosas and they all taste great. Best is if you order many different things and...share them. It is a little pricey, but overall I think the tapas are worth it, also because nearly everything is handmade - including bread and rolls! The only disappointment was the dish "crunchy veggie sticks", that's just raw carot, cucumber, etc. sticks - nothing special. I cannot say anything about the burgers, we had breakfust/brunch. I really enjoyed the experience!More

This is a low key, cozy cafe with a small but varied menu of burgers and typical Spanish tapas dishes. Having recently traveled to Barcelona, I was happy when our friends suggested that we meet them to this tapas restaurant for an early Easter Monday...dinner. Interestingly enough, their cocktail/wine menu is as extensive as their food menu. I ordered their Spanish red wine and we ordered a mix of veggie and meaty tapas dishes, including the salted green peppers typical of Spain, which we followed by the chicken and beef burgers. The wait staff were friendly and easily switched between German and English. Nice way to spend a casual night outMore

Fresh and simple burger. It's all about the ingredients. No unecessary dripping of liquids. One of the best I've tried in Vienna.

Fantastic food - I've been here a few times and happy to always find something seasonal on the menu. The croquetas, winter pickles and porchetta sandwich are absolutely delicious and something I haven't found anywhere else in Vienna! The service has so far been very...friendly and accomodating. Looking forward to what will be new on the summer menu!More

Perhaps this place has bitten off more than it can chew. Their description is: modern tapas, cocktails, burger bar. Quite frankly, they fail miserably on each of these aspects. Two out of five drinks ordered came wrong. Instead of apologizing and offering to fix the...situation, the waitress suggested that we should accept the wrong ones, since it would take to long to prepare new ones. At that point we should have asked for the check and leave, but we still ordered some 15 dishes and the way we were served is not acceptable nor even in the cheapest tapas place you could find. They brought one dish at a time, following an incomprehensible order. I am really not sure if they are used to the concept of a tapas restaurant. When we were already about to finish all ordered tapas, the burger that one person at the table ordered arrived. As this person is vegetarian, she asked for something to be served in place of the meat. The chef's response was not only that he had no substitute for the meat, but also that the price of the burger would be the same with or without meat. Maybe it would have been easier to digest the awful experience if the food had been at least good, but unfortunately the quality of the dishes was passable at most. Rare were the times I ate so bad and was so poorly served in a restaurant. An experience to be forgotten and avoided.More

dear castilhos, i remember your table well. as stated we are a bar that serves mostly tapas, and then have two larger hot sandwiches(a burger and foccacia filled with porchetta) for those who are hungrier. we realize that we are missing a larger vegetarian option....More

The burger is delicious - I think it's the best I've had so far in Vienna, and I'm always on the lookout for a good burger here. They bake their own buns and stuff a generous slice of cheddar between two patties made from high...quality beef (no gristle, ground just right). It's small, so you should probably phone in a reservation, although they will open up a good-sized Schanigarten (outdoor seating on the sidewalk) in May. The owners are two super nice brothers - one is the manager, the other is the executive chef. You can tell that they care about the quality of the food and the experience of the guests. In addition to the burger (which I've eaten on three separate occasions), I've also tried one dessert (don't recall which - it was a special, I believe), and it was delicious, as well. There's a large, fully transparent window into the kitchen, so you can watch as the cooks prepare your meals. I like the ambience and the interior decorations, as well, and the personnel have always been super friendly. In addition to the food, they also have a nice selection of beer (including IPAs in the bottle and Tegenseer on tap), wine and spirits. Have a look at the alcohol behind the bar - most of it is top shelf and / or boutique stuff - again, showing the owners' dedication to using quality ingredients. Ask Patrick to make you a Negroni - delicious! I can only say good things about Der Fuchs und die Trauben (The Fox and the Grapes, one of Aesop's fables). The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the personnel are all top notch.More

If you fancy eating a non gristle/fatty bits burger then I recommend this place.. I was most pleasantly surprised. Homemade baps and delicious relishes to accompany your burger.. This is the best burger I have tasted in Vienna. Forget: Shebeen, 1516, Burgermacher etc, They also...serve a good selection of tapas.... And not to forget they also offer a couple of good IPAs, Tegernsee on draft, and terrific cocktails.More
