Cosy and lovely small restaurant. Family owned, with local cuisine. Flavours that are difficult to find now days. A must for food lovers!
As a native English speaker, the first thing I liked about this place was the ability to make a reservation using email and receiving a prompt response. As a person born in NJ, the second thing I liked about this place was the poster of...Bruce Springsteen on their website! I hope one day Bruce gets the chance to eat here. In many seaside resort towns, the food served in restaurants is over priced and over complicated and served in small portions. Not the case here. The space is not seafront and the appearance from the street is deceiving. We hit it for Tuesday lunch, which is the first meal of its work week since they are closed on Mondays. We arrived as the place seemed to be in full panic mode as everyone seemed to get there at the same time, but we were in no hurry and had the opportunity to relax and observe. Seated inside, there were two tables of one, one table of 7, 2 tables of 2, and 2 tables of 4. We took the waiter's advice and order 1/2 liter of the house bubbly wine - perfect! We were there for the brodetto, but checked out the menu. They offered a reduced antipasti course of three items - ceci beans with squid, tuna with potatoes and olives, and steamed mussels all appearing in succession, freshly prepared and stunningly flavorful. So glad for the bread to soak up every drop of the juices! This was followed by a healthy portion of black chitarra pasta from squid ink with mackerel meatballs and julienned calamari. We split an order of the famous brodetto, which our waiter assured us was more than sufficient for two people - and he was right. In addition to several fish, the stew appropriately included a pannocchia for which the restaurant is named (stracciavocc is dialect for this sweet sea creature). The waitress offered to debone the fish for us, but we opted for self service. Everything perfectly cooked and greedily consumed. As we feasted, we watched other plates of food going to nearby tables including huge plates of fried fish that seemed to disappear upon delivery. We must go back to try the other dishes! Alas, we could not eat another thing, so we were unable to sample a dessert. Amazingly, we had been there for 2 hours and were ready for a nap. The total bill came to 83 euro - a real bargain in my opinion. I can't wait to return.More
The restaurant is near the Lido in Giulianova, a fish restaurant. Very nice decorated. The starters were six or seven small dishes (oysters, chickpea soup with fish caramelised, another one with potato purée and fish, small squids salad, small shrimps, and two or three more...fish related cold dishes) then the hot ones: fried calamari, shrimps, stuffed mussels) and sea bass cooked with salt. Everything was delicious. Desserts were lovely, coffee very good accompanying tiny home made biscuits and in the end an amarone!More

One of the best fish restaurants in know. Take some and try all appetizers - best in a group to share ... the quality of fish / bread and also the selection of wines is really really amazing. Service is a bit stressed but funny...and very competent.More
Very nice cozy Italian style restaurant with nice sea food. I really enjoyed having various sea foods there
I go every so often to eat fish in this restaurant. So far i have always been extremely satisfied. The starters are excellent the ingredients are fresh and the way to present them is well done. The price is very reasonable considering the quality in...my opinion best quality/price fish place in Giulianova I also recommend it for the continuity of the quality year over year. You can consider 35 euro per person for full starters (10 different type) and 2 primi wine water and coffee.More
On a small back street in Giulianova, and a wonderful meal, one of the best this trip. The antipasti alone would make the meal memorable - over a dozen different ones, from crudi (raw) to warm, all different types of fish and shellfish including one...we'd never had before. The swordfish mains was good, the vegetables with it less so. The fun part was watching the servers and the ballet around the whole thing, it was quite amazing. Really good wines, and a fun artisanal beer too.More
I returned to this restaurant that i used to like a lot after long time since the previous time i was there was not up to my pretty high expectations. The interiors are renovated but still overall simple however i found what i was looking...for: good fresh fish for a reasonable price. i think is one of the best places in the area where it is possible to have really good meal in a simple but nice atmosphere and at reasonable prices. I had the starters and were really good. Will go bavkMore
