Excellent service and the food was outstanding. The staff was friendly and courteous. The coffee drinks were superb.
Maybe I just wasn’t lucky. My fish filet smelled after oil and tasted just normal. And the waiter didn’t have his best day. I didn’t met the manager.... But all the feedbacks are mostly great so I will try for sure another time.
As a business traveller I spend every week away from home staying in hotels. This restaurant is part of the Schwaiger Hotel in Prague and when I went for dinner I wasn’t expecting anything special. I was so wrong. This is a modern Czech restaurant...based in the hotel but stands absolutely on its own merit. The venue is classy and high quality but unfussy and well presented. You can sit in jeans and T-shirt or use it for romantic classy dinner. The service is as good as anywhere and the waiting staff were always smiling and happy to help. I had the smokehouse starter which was smoked meats and a pork crackling dumpling, very tasty and good size. The star of the show was my main course; Deer served with chestnut purée. This was truly superb. Cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully. The flavours were amazing. I have eaten in over a thousand restaurants in my life (no exaggeration, at least a hundred a year for the last ten years and I’m now 48) and this meal was one of my top ten ever. I may be a little biased as venison is one of my favourite meats, but every mouthful was satisfying and fulfilling and perfect. I doubt this is a “cheap” restaurant compared to others, but the quality and service were an unexpected pleasure and really finished of a wonderful day in Prague for me.More
Since I was staying at the hotel, this restaurant was a natural choice. I had dinner one night and lunch on the day I left. Both were well prepared and tasty. During the day, in good weather, it's worth the time to sit outside in...the garden to have lunch. The short lunch menu has different options for each day of the week and all are well served for one person. The french fries I had with my lunch choice were freshly done and crispy. The restaurant, part of the Hotel Schwaiger, may not be easy to find, especially if you don't have a car, but it's worth the effort.More
This place is simply amazing. Great garden lovely interior, fabulous food and amazing service. This restaurant is nice example of how things can look in gastronomy if you like what you do!
We went here for the Grand Restaurant Festival in Prague - and we will be back. The food is local - and wonderful! The amouse-bouche was smoked meat from there smoker outside! When it arrived, it smelled so lovely, I knew we had made a...good choice. The main course was deer - and it was perfectly cooked. So tender it was a real delight. My partner, who doesn't like desserts, was overwhelmed by the pudding with blackberries and salted caramel ice cream. Heavenly. The service was like being at home. We loved this restaurant, the prices and the service. We will be back sooner rather than later.More
We ate in this restaurant twice. Food and service were excellent. The pumpkin soup was amazing and I had a very good steak.
Cold welcome saying that 10 mins before the opening time I and my infant child should wait outside in the street full cars. They insisted pushing kids on the road is a matter of principle-until the restaurant is formally open. Very disappointing given rather good...food. Please, consider schooling the so-called management.More
We came here one of the evenings, didn't expect much as it looks very unassuming but turned our to be one of the best meals we ever had in Prague. The service is quick and the staff was very helpful. We ordered the beef soup...(delicious and light... believe it or not); sauerkraut (also good); pepper tenderloin steak (Very good). The back garden is lovely and great spot for dinner with friends, couple or groups.More
Outside the center of Prague lies hidden on the backside of Hotel Schwaiger an extensive garden restaurant. Its specialty is grilled food, prepared in the garden itself. The ordered food was excellent, service good and prices moderate. Definitely recommended to visit if one has a...car and find a parking place in the front of the hotel.More
The only reason I ate here was because it was an easy eat close to my hotel. Service was very slow, missing a few drink options from the menu and when the food did come it was very bland. (You guys gotta work flavour. Red...wine and mustard was needed in this dish and clearly missing.) Edible food but don't expect to be blown away. The music was good though... 🎶More
This is the restaurant of Hotel Schwaiger. It is very quaint and relaxing. We ordered lunch while waiting for our room to get ready. The service and the food were excellent. After couples of excellent Czech beers we also ordered some coffee and the bartender...turned to be also a professional barista!More
Perfect combination of modern and traditional czech food. You can enjoy good quality home made food. They bake their own bread, they use local ingredients, quality products. You ll be amazed by service and taste. Go and enjoy it.
Very nice, in a modern style though not a large dining area with quiet music . Attentive service, quality food, good portions, beautiful presentations. We, as others, got the recommendation from their "sister" hotel (Pod Vezi) staff that the food was terrific, and it was....They have their own small "meat smoker" and the smoked ribs were fabulous. This restaurant and and hotel are up above the Castle near many of the embassies in a forrested, residential area (so a bit too far to walk to for most people) but well worth the taxi ride up and back. No city views just a nice outdoor patio for better weather dining and happy hours as well as the inside dining area.More
