Ferdinanda on Karmelitská is a superb pub and restaurant which is in the Malá Strana district of Prague and is without doubt one of the best places to enjoy traditional food and drink's and was one of the first place's we ever visited in Prague...30 years ago. This brilliant cellar restaurant and pub has a white-walled multi-roomed interior with a superb look and feel with many interesting fixtures and features and excellent seating options throughout it's whole interior. This is an atmospheric restaurant and pub and it has the look and the feel of restaurant and pub from the medieval times. We have visited here numerous times as it's a brilliant restaurant and pub and it offer's a well priced food and drinks menu.On our visit we had a really traditional Czech meal which was pork and dumpling's which were superb and a few local Czech beer's which were perfectly served and well priced. This is a really good restaurant and pub in a brilliant area of Prague that is well worth a visit and is easy to get to from Hellichova tram stop it's a few minute's walk.(This is my 2nd review of Ferdinanda in Malá Strana). Opening Hours. Monday-Friday-11.00-21.00. Saturday-Sunday-Closed. Public Transport. Tram Stop. Hellichova Tram Stop-12-15-18-20-22-23-25-97.More

Tried to visit again after enjoying our first visit. We’ve now tried on four other occasions and it’s been closed. Is it even operating? Who knows. Nothing on their web page. Won’t bother trying again.

Pretty good food. Goulash tastes way way better than in worst Prague restaurant “U Fleku”. Waiters are very cheerful and helpful. Typical Czeska Hospoda, Piwnica.

Straight off the plane, get to our apartment and then headed here for lunch based purely on its proximity to our apartment. First impressions were not all that impressive, a small sign on the street and a very uninspiring entrance through a little covered area....Do not let this put you off. Once through the door and down the staircase and you find yourself in a lovely cellar. The three of us all opted for goulash and it was lovely as was the beer. We’d never visited before, but we certainly will again. A true hidden gem.More

My friends and I have been there when we visited Prague and we were absolutely satisfied. The traditional cuisine is delicious and the beer too, we totally recommend it. The price is very low (we spent 13€ for a main course, French fries and half...liter beer). We’d like to underline the excellent waiter who was able to understand English and accepted separated payments.More

This a very simple place with great food and beer. The menu is limited, but the quality is excellent, the service is quick and the prices are very reasonable. Of course, you must like traditional Czech dishes. Do not come here if you are looking...for an international cuisine or a wide menu. It is usually crowded by Czechs and tourist.More

Located along Karmelitska is Ferdinanda ,a great cellar tavern that's always been a favourite haunt of both myself and my twin brother Stephen. I really love the look of this tavern ,exposed stonework ,a cool looking serving bar ,wonderful decor and furnishings and lots of...seating options ,it's a great tavern to chill out in. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon ,this tavern was busy ,we luckily managed to grab a table were we ordered dark beers from Klaster Pivovar ,these were served in excellent condition ,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My beer was really good ,a dark ,malty brew ,consistent from the first sip till the last sup ,it's a beer that when it's served freezing cold as in this tavern is such a delicious beer indeed. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a marvellous time. Ferdinanda is easy to locate along Karmelitska . Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11am till 11pm. A great tavern to check out if you're in the Lesser Town ( Mala Strana ) .More

Great little restaurant. Wholesome food, friendly staff, good value for money. A little off the beaten track but worth a visit to avoid the hordes and poor quality food you will find in the tourist traps. Served great beer and quality pork dish from a...friendly blonde lady who would put many Octoberfest waitresses to shame!More

We decided to eat at this place following reading the reviews online.  We had not booked and after being stood there for only a minute we were asked if we could wait for a few minutes for a table, this didn't bother us as we...had arrived at a peak time on a Saturday night. We were soon ushered through to our table, this place is set downstairs in multiple little areas which have 4-6 tables with informal benches in each area. The waitress seemed very attentive without being in our faces even though she seemed rushed off her feet. Nothing seemed too much hassle. We ordered our food, along with a Pilsner and a Slivovice. The food arrived in good time, I had pork with mushrooms and cheese and my partner had the pork with spiced apricot chutney, we with fries, the total came to less than CZK700. The food was lovely, tasted fresh and was definitely worth waiting just a couple of minutes. We agreed we would come back to this place as it was good for a couple or family looking for some good food or group of friends looking for somewhere for the night to begin.More

Not 100% sure but we didn't have one and had no problem getting a table. There were others there but it wasn't full and it was a Saturday evening.
