Good coffee and treats. Very nice staff. Accommodating and very nice to sit on the backyard patio. Highly recommended for a local coffee stop.

I asked for a large coffee with almond milk for creamer. What I got was a cup only have full then she asked me how much almond milk she would like to put in. I have never heard of that combination. We had about a...two minute discussion about what I ordered again and walked out with the cup of coffee with a bit more almond milk then I wanted which cooled down the coffee way too much. But I did not want to dump it and start over so I went with it. Good note is the coffee company they use Stumptown brewed in Portland Oregon. Bad note the service not understanding a simple order.More
I ate breakfast here two mornings when staying at the nearby Carlton hotel. I do not drink coffee, so I can't directly speak about it, but my sister and brother in law both enjoyed it. I had the breakfast wrap both times and enjoyed it...with salsa. I plan to go back in a couple of weeks when I visit the area again.More
My kids were at A-town skatepark, it was pouring rain, and I sure didn't want to sit in my car waiting for them for two hours. I found this place just around the corner. I had a great sandwich and delicious cappuccino. Free wi-fi, cool...ambiance, and a huge storefront window if you want to people watch. The tables are also a good size so if you need to finish some work, this place is perfect.More
Comfortable, friendly and GREAT food and beverages. Fresh, healthy ingredients and spectacular fresh bakery items.
I really enjoy this coffee shop. They are very nice and helpful. The coffee and food is delicious. So many options for breakfast and lunch.
BRU is a good spot to meet friends for coffee--all the usual beverages, plus pastries, quick and breakfast sandwiches. If the weather is good, go out the back door to patio. The patio is not as nicely maintained ed as it once was (fewer plants...and no more waterfall) but the umbrella tables are still a nice place to enjoy your coffee.More
we stopped for quick snack their homebaked scones & apple fritters were divine, fruits in their fruit cup were fresh & crisp..their walls were full of commissioned artwork of local artists - my fave & sign - Lion painted by 13yr old kid..too bad it...was sold before i cameMore
If you are looking for a nice, local location to get an excellent cup of coffee or a great breakfast and coffee, this is the place to go. They use Stumptown coffee exclusively, they have really good baked items choose from, and their breakfast are...really well done. It's a great place to hang out with your computer, or meet a group of friends with both indoor and outdoor seating.More
Quiche nothing but fat. Espresso drink of poor quality, tart coffee with bobbly foam. If you are into coffee keep walking till you hit the coffee roaster Joebella.
I live in San Luis Obispo with plenty of coffee houses to choose from but I enjoy getting out of town occasionally and coming to Bru in Atascadero. The breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and muffins are great. The staff always has a good attitude. After Bru...I like to walk through the Sunken Gardens and wander around town. Free parking is nice also.More
The atmosphere was funky and fun with outside seating in front, inside with nooks and crannys, and on a patio behind Bru. Unfortunately the rear patio is too close to US 101 and the background noise is high. The coffee was good, reasonably priced and...the staff was excellent. Next time I will sit in front.More
I was with my family and we got coffee and breakfast. The person taking our order had a difficult time getting it right and we had to repeat the order multiple times to get it right. The coffee and food were nothing to write home...about.More
Groovy little coffee spot walking distance from our hotel. Nice selection of hot breakfast items on the board (wraps and croissant sandwiches freshly made). Plenty of seats in several rooms and a small courtyard with outdoor seating in the back. Food was just the right...amount for me and reasonably priced. Service was fast and plates brought to our table. Nice, quiet coffee shop ambiance. Recommend.More
Very homey setting on the main street through town. Excellent coffee in an interesting, multi-room, cozy building.
