A wonderful addition to our gastronomic tour of Singapore. Our 3rd Michelin in Singapore (2nd this year) and definitely the best of the bunch. The dining room isn’t large, but that is a bonus. Big dining rooms usually equates to a less personal service and...a louder atmosphere. This was a similar sized dining space to Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, with a great view into the open kitchen. There’s also a room upstairs but I didn’t see this. The menu was fixed with 3 starters a main and a dessert (with optional cheese plate which I took). Service was very good and very personal. The sommelier (Joseph) was both great conversation and gave good advice. A very nice guy. Chef Paul was leading the kitchen and also served and explained a couple of dishes to us, a very nice personal touch. The other dishes were served by the waiters who knew the dishes well and talked us through each course. As the title says, a little gem of a restaurant and we will definitely be back.More

Rhubarb, @DuxtonHill This restaurant has been around for a decent amount of years! Chef Owner, Paul Longworth, a true master of his craft, has made himself a name for his consistency for excellence! We had the privilege to enjoy a truly special meal at his...One Starred Michelin which he had for 7 consecutive years now! (An FYI for those that are hung up on the Tire Company 😇) His consistently high rating is true through use of exceptional ingredients prepared meticulously to bring out the best flavours & textures! My host today, a F&B professional for almost 60 years, is a huge fan of Chef Paul & his culinary prowess! The Amuse Bouche was a composition of Pork & Carrot Rilette topped with a Pear Gel, the crisp That encased this delightful bite gave it all the dimensions making it the perfect starter The Scallops from Myagi were not only perfectly cooked but with the Taramasalata, the buttermilk & parsley/ Daikon was not only a perfect flavour composition but also a light dish that really got us going! 💯 Pointer in my book The timely serving of the Cep&Chestnut emulsion, truly fitting this time of the year, on a bed of fermented mushroom, and crowned with finely shredded Autumn Truffles is a signature dish of Rhubarb! Simply amazingly delightful! Perfection in a glass The Seabream, with its puffed scales, Seafood Qinoia, a Saffron Aioli and the Soup de Poisson, was a multi dimensional creation which was so perfectly executed that it truly left for wanting more! Loved the use of the zucchini flower, a crowning perfection! another 💯 pointer! Since I am a huge fan of pigeon , the breasts were cooked to perfection, served with a “Bonbon” of the leg confit, Cotechino Dumpling and topped with a pomegranate Sauce, it was another Homerun so to speak! Blessed we are to be able to enjoy such expression of culinary mastery, we left completely at peace with ourselves and the world for these were 2 hours not only well spend but an extraordinary enjoyment that will linger for some time to come! Thank you Paul for being such perfectionist! #singapore #foodsg #sgfoodie #sgfoodporn #gourmet #cuisine #foodagram #foodaddict #SGfood #sgfoodstagram #sglifestylesingapore #rhubarb #rhubarbtherestaurant #paullongworth #duxtonhillsingapore #duxtonMore

We had been thinking of visiting Rhubarb for a while and finally made it one afternoon for lunch. The place was small, simple but comfortably elegant. There was natural light from the ceiling above us. It was peaceful and I thought it looked pretty pleasant...during day time. The food was definitely of good quality. What impressed me was the creativity of the chef in using surprising ingredients and tastes on the side which worked very well with the dish. I could feel the sincere effort and talent of the chef through this. It was a pleasant afternoon. We would love to visit Rhubarb again soon. It is a well deserving Michelin restaurant with good value even though that value was negated by the high water charge. .More

Second time here, warm and honest, nice tastes, a weird combination of homey and world class Michelin dining experience. Loved it both times.

My wife and I made a reservation for dinner last night. The food had great depth of flavour whilst also being innovative, the presentation exquisite. We found the wine list contained plenty of nice French wines to choose from. All of this was enjoyed from...within a lovely room with an open kitchen. Staff were friendly and attentive. We thought pricing was reasonable when the worthy michelin star is considered. At the end of your meal, the chef comes out from the kitchen to thank you as you are leaving. It was a nice touch at the end of an enjoyable evening.More

We had dinner here a few months back and we still remember this out of this world mushroom "soup" that was essentially of a foam-mousse-like consistency and tasted divine. The wait for the entire omakase was rather long but well worth the amazing creations of...the chef.More

The food itself here is quite good especially considering the total price. In most other places in Singapore, a similar meal would cost a lot more. However, the rest of it is not up to Michelin standards. The dining room looks "basic" and the staff...do not really explain the dish well. They largely tell you the name of the dish and few of the key ingredients - nothing else....no journey / story. The chef does a brilliant job but really brought down by the staff who do not even appear energetic.More

This is a small cosy restaurant which has just the right touch of elegance and minimalist decor... nothing too much just making the guests feeling comfortable. Basically, you have two omakase sets to choose from for lunch and the difference between the 3 and 4...course omakase is the signature mushroom emulsion, which I went for as I wanted to go through the entire journey. In fact, the portion of the mushroom emulsion was way larger than I expected and I shared it with my guest as well. Rarely do we, or should we (?), say the portions are too large (especially for French cuisine) but this course really filled me up. Other courses included the prawns as starter, beef as main course which my guests had but I had replaced it with pork instead. The prawn had a freshness to it although I think it may be cooked slightly a bit more raw. I enjoyed my pork but I noticed my guest's beef was a bit tough as I saw them cutting it with some difficulty. I cannot comment on the quality as I didn't have the beef myself so, I'd leave that to other reviews to judge. Overall, I was happy and satisfied with the food but the staff could be more attentive and ask us how the food was and maybe we can share our views on the beef. No disappointment at all and it is a nice restaurant which I'd probably visit again.More

Dined solo @ a table next to the kitchen, perfect as there’s nothing like having a ringside seat. Opted for the 3 course Omakase set & was pleasantly surprised when a little complementary starter arrived, a crispy seaweed based wedge with fresh salmon & adorned...with little zesty lemon balls. The scallop was marinated in a fermented beetroot juice, soft & creamy in texture. My main was Australian beef, cooked to perfection & plated with an interesting array of vegetables. Desert was mouthwatering with the lemon curd, sorbet & of course rhubarb. At the end of my dining a little surprise box appeared full of little treats. The waiters were discreet, hospitable, knowledgeable about the wine list & made sure there was an ample supply of fresh assorted breads. Complements to the chef/director Paul Longworth & your team for the sensational dining experience I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.More

The best prawn dishes I’ve ever had in any Western-style restaurant in Singapore, coupled with the best hospitality by Chef Paul Longworth and the wonderful front of house staff makes Rhubarb a restaurant I will always return to.

i enjoyed my dinner here - each of the starters were delicious - i had my doubts about the onion emulsion but it was great. Only soft spot was the popcorn sauce with the lobster - completely overpowered it with cinema-sweetness. The same sauce served...cold could be used instead on the dessert plate - which was also delicious. So hats off to Paul for pushing culinary innovation. Nice mixed bunch of folk in the restaurant tooMore

This year, my lovely daughter brought me to Rhubarb at Duxton Hill for Mother Day’s luncheon. This is a rather decent, small and presentable restaurant; open kitchen with only 6-7 tables. We arrived for lunch and was serviced by Mr Pony-tail (didn’t get his name)...who was attentive, quick and friendly (loved his smile & professional humour). We selected the 3-course omakase set. I find the food here especially delicate, nice and exquisitely-presented. While the portion are small, it was just nice for us 2 slim ladies. Before our main course was out, we were treated with a good selection of small breads that were served hot and oh-so-yummy (my girl had 3 of these).More

Not such a great Michelin experience quite frankly. Premises don’t seem as polished as other high end restaurants. Service took a fair bit of time, and wasn’t quite as expected - staff just quickly told us the name of the dish and left. I mean...it really didn’t seem Michelin. As for the food, this wasn’t really to our liking. The scallop and passion fruit combination just seemed like a total mismatch. The lamb was actually really bad with a very weak sauce - this was the first time we left food on the plate at a Michelin restaurant. Thumbs up to the truffle and celeriac dish. Dessert was ok but actually felt really refreshing after what I would call a very mediocre meal.More
