A lively spot offering a French/ Cambodian fusion tasting menu. Lovely service, an open kitchen if you want to see what is going on. There is a vegetarian option as well and they can mix and match if you have allergies or aversions. Wine is...available but to be honest it was too hot and beer sufficed. They have aircon but more tables in the garden with fans - just beware that with temperatures in the high 30s, it can be a warm experience! Overall I think it has to be done if you have more than a couple of nights in Siem Reap.More

We love going to fine dining restaurants and this one was top of our list, it was named in the 50 best restaurants in Asia. Everything was absolutely perfect, the pleasure Ace is very charming, the service was attentive and fast and the food was...both surprising and very tasty. We've been advising everyone we met to go there. Congratulations on the very good work !!More

Finally! We found with the Cuisine Wat Damnak after 5 weeks visit and culinary searches THE restaurant who knows how to cook the culinary richness of Combodia food: In a critique I read, that it taste like Cambodian, but doesn’t look like it. Exactly! We...took both tasting menus and shared easily everything! A dream! I loved the pan fried cassava pancake, by the way, please change the name to„rösti“ (Swiss) or hash browns (USA). Touring Cambodia I saw many cassava harvesting, but no restaurants put it on the menu, as many other herbs, vegetables, fruits and plants. Enjoy the sensation to deep dive into a diverse tasteful culinary experience. When you plan to go, I will already envy you!More

Lacking in flavor, lacking in presentation, rude staff. We spent $117 at this restaurant and left unhappy and dissatisfied. The staff were rude, expected us to use the same cutlery for every course, a fork and spoon, even when a knife was called for and...as for using a wooden spoon to eat with, come one who wants the taste of wood in their mouth. I was lead to believe that this restaurant deserved a Michelin star, it certainly does not. I was lead to believe that there was a French twist to the menu, there certainly isn't, unless the use of fish sauce which is ubiquitous in Asian cooking is a french ingredient. If you eat out often you will be left very disappointed. In hind sight I would have taken the $7 and eaten street food by the river with my wife and given $110 away to a local charity in Siem Reap and felt better about the evening.More

We had the tasting menu, highly recommend. Some tasting menus can become a bit of a slog, not this one every mouthful was a delight.

Wonderful food and service. Tasting menu was 8 courses and each bite incredible, local, fresh and creative. Understated and elegant.

Extraordinary! I chose the tasting menu (eight courses, $45 per person) and was stunned by the beauty of each dish and their delightful tastes and textures. I was also well satisfied by the service, which was attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended!

Both the normal and vegetarian degustation menus were delicious. Our family of four picked one of each, so we were able to sample both menus. Excellent staff who were able to explain each dish. The air conditioning was a bit too cold but the food...was amazing. Definitely go!More

Nice ambience, though would recommend the indoor hut so to get a full flavor of the place. We opted for the plant base menu and the dishes were superb, one nicer than the other.

Having had several delicious vegetarian or plant based meals in Siem Reap in mid-range and basic restaurants, I'd expects great flavours at this higher end tasting menu venue. I was disappointed. Several of the 9 courses were almost flavourless and there was little textural difference...in many dishes. The mango sorbet dish was delicious as was the chocolate ganache part of the other desert however the rest was underwhelming. Service was ok ish but could do with more explanation of the dishes as we ended up googling to work out which was which.More

Our hotel (the exquisite Sala Lodge) recommended . The setting is lovely and there is a tasting menu available in either meat ($45) or vegetarian ($38). My 2 friends and I thought the food was absolutely fantastic and on par with tasting menus they have...had around the world at much more expensive restaurants. My courses included a pate starter, crispy shrimp, citrus scallops, duck confit, delectable beef cheeks, a fantastic sour fish soup and two desserts. Small bites but there were enough courses that we were full at the end. And an interesting drink menu. 5 stars for sure!!!!!!More

The tasting menu was fabulous. Two of us got the plant based and one got the meat/fish based. The 8 courses were all delicious and appropriately sized. Some of the flavors were completely new to us. The presentation was beautiful and the cocktails very tasty....Service was excellent. Highly recommended!! Expensive for Cambodia at around 40$ per person. Could not touch a meal like this in the States for less than $120😂More

This was our second time eating here (last time was seven years ago) and the tasting menu did not disappoint. Stunning location and a little quieter out of the madness. Food was fantastic, felt pushing star quality.

For us, this is an old favourite, and we were happy to revisit it once again. The tasting menu is very agreeable, taking Khmer flavours and presenting them through focused courses, plated in an international manner. We especially liked the attention to herbs, with restraint...in respect to sugar and salt. This allowed for a very elemental experience of the ingredients, which we paired with a mineral white wine. The intimate old house has now given way to a new dining room set in a contemporary building. The French chef and owner is running a parallel, equally successful restaurant in Phnom Penh so we no longer have the pleasure of his presence but the dinner is managed by an experienced, well-trained team. Faultless.More
