Very good 👍 very special. Take your time and enjoy very good modern greek cooking. Service, food and wine are special.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner at Pomo D’Oro, the food was tasty and the wine was excellent. Nevertheless, the service could be better.
Lovely restaurant off the main streets of Corfu Town. A fine dining experience from start to finish without the hefty price you’d expect (serious value for money in my view). Aristotelis (head chef) explained how the dishes were cooked and they were 10/10. We had...the risotto to start and it was indescribable how tasty it was. There is a secret we won’t reveal but it was very surprising. The hostess let us try multiple wines before we bought a bottle so we knew we were getting one we liked. Mains we had the ravioli. Lamb was better than the lobster (lobster was interesting, quite dark and rich, not fishy). We saw others having the lamb main which looked very good. Dessert was classic and as you’d expect. Paid €120 for bottle of wine, 1 starter with bread for 2 as well, 2 mains, 1 dessert. Would recommend for anyone.More
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and excellent service. If you are interested, the knowledgable waiting staff (including head chef) will take their time to explain the recipes and origins of the food. The owner is a very passionate and talented man, would recommend.
Absolutely amazing dining experience. Carefully created modern Greek dishes, great wine list and very good service . Our second visit to this wonderful restaurant, and it never disappoints.
I came here tonight for a meal since it was highly rated on Google reviews. It was superb. The decor is stylish, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable and the food delicious. This has been the best bit of my trip so far. Would highly...recommend. Thank you!More
Food bursting with flavour, fresh ingredients, intelligent and interesting combinations, beautifully presented. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly (sommelier especially who chose 2 beautiful wines for us) and very kind esp when managing my daughter’s peanut allergy and need for some plain yogurt and honey to take...her meds with. Location central but tucked away in a peaceful corner of town. We didn’t try the bar as we were with the children but had we come on our own would have loved a pre dinner drink at the well stocked and smart looking bar. Highly recommend booking first. Wonderful evening thank youMore
I chose this restaurant for a very special occasion - the staff, food, atmosphere: everything was incredible. This restaurant is located off one of the main streets and offers a quite, calm surrounding: exactly what I was looking for. The choices of wines - superb!...I also highly recommend Mille Feuille as the dessert - one of the best ones I’ve ever tried! And I was hoping to say huge thank you to the staff that made this evening very, very special!More
Worst restaurant we went to in Corfu. Unfortunately, it was my birthday and they certainly spoilt my otherwise amazing day. We sat inside as it was so hot outside, so thought being inside with AC would be a good idea…only to find out it was...30C inside! Ridiculous! Asked to lower the temperature, but they just shrugged their shoulders. Then they made us wait 45 mins for the starters and another 45 mins for the mains. I was livid! It felt even longer in that swealtering place. I was just about to leave, when the food arrived. It was just ok, certainly nothing worth waiting 1.5h for. The menu was really underwhelming, though the food was better than what the menu suggested. My husband had arranged a dessert to sing happy birthday, but I was so upset that I just left. I wasn’t going to wait another half an hour for dessert. Really unacceptable service, even for Greece. Also, they knew it was my birthday as my husband had told them and not a single person congratulated me at all (this had never ever happened anywhere in the world). And the wine was just awful. Well, to be honest, all greek wine was subpar. Some of the worst wine I have ever tasted. I really regret going to this place so much. Avoid like the plague. So many nicer places to go to in Corfu. They truly ruined my birthday and I left furious and hungry.More
Visited Corfu Town by boat From Messonghi. Had an early dinner at Pomo d’Oro based on a recommendation. We were not disappointed. We sat outside in a nice square just off one of the main shopping streets. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, including the...chef who kindly came to talk to us about which wines best suited our food choices and budget (we didn’t know very much about Greek wines). We greatly enjoyed the food, wine and ambience and would highly recommend Pomo d’Oro.More
Located in a historic building in the heart of the Old Town the restaurant occupies a quiet and secluded position in the picturesque Skaramanka square with a large, raised outdoor terrace. We ate here last year and again the food and the service was again...exceptional on this occasion. The owner/head chef, Aristotelis, mixes modern Greek and mediterranean cuisine with his own personal style. Aritotelis comes out and to talk to each of the tables and he was engaging and very approachable. We were struggling with our choice of wines and having talked us through some of the dishes and we agreed to entrust with a selection of wine pairings for each course. These proved to be pretty good. The homemade pasta is incredible and each of the dishes resembled a delicate creation, perfectly seasoned, full of flavour and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a selection of breads with fava bean puree and caramelised onion, ‘July’ (baked beets, red fruits, almonds, almond cream, spring herbs and premium olive oil) and ‘Chalikounas’ (marinated swordfish, tomato confit, grapes, pine nuts and samphire), followed by ‘Sunday’ (ravioli stuffed with lamd ragu, becehemel crème, lamb jus and gruyere chips) and Rooster pastitsado (rooster stuffed with leaver pate on a lasagna and rooster ragu). For dessert my partner and I shared the Chocolate and Pear (chocolate mousse, almonds, pear puree and pitsachio gelato). Overall, this was a truly exceptional meal, offering fine dining at its best and a very sophisticated yet relaxed dining experience.More

We visited here instead of the Venetian Well due to the good reviews and the rising expense of the Venetian Well. Unfortunately it was a pretty mediocre meal and service. The menu is small which is no bad thing but the choice is not great....The service was too fast to begin with when the bread, dip, oil and starters all arrived at once. And they charge for the bread and oil which is rather mean and the first time I've found this in Greece. Beef main was nice but pretty average and the same for the fish. We would have had desert and coffee had they bothered to come and take the order, but 20 minutes after receiving the desert menu they were still ignoring us so we paid and went into town for a nightcap at a bar that actually wanted our business. So I wouldn't recommend this place. We had much better meals and attentive service in our local tavernas than this.More
Lovely setting in a courtyard of the Corfu Old Town. The food is great. You are able to try both local delicacies and contemporary creations as the menu is regularly updated. I had wanted to try a local Corfiot dish, fish in tomato broth, and...here they do a good one. The handmade pastas were expertly done and show the influence of Italian cuisine on Corfu. The owner/chef, Aristotelis, walks the floor of the restaurant and is very approachable. He gave us great recommendations and explained why they use the ingredients they do (seasonal fishing, invasive species etc.). Overall a pleasant experience and our best meal in Corfu.More
