I was here in January 2018, on a snowy Sunday. I looked for the entrance on Street View on the day before so I had no problems to find it :) we went there for lunch, at around 12:00 and there was only 2-3 tables...with other people sitting, so it was not a busy day but very quiet.
My disappointment was to see that the menu was available exclusively in Czech language, I also asked to a waitress and she confirmed so. That's very unusual in the main center of a town which stays only at about 10 km from Austria. To have it at least in German it would be a good idea. Moreover the waitress didn't really speak German or English, so she couldn't help much with the menu. We chose a Flank Steak (at least the name was easily recognizable) and another dish with beef. My steak was good, nicely cooked medium-rare and also the mushrooms next to it were fine. After we also asked 2 coffees and a dessert, and I found it strange that the dessert arrived 5-6 minutes after the coffees (I use to drink it at last, I thought it was logic), but the strudel was ok and also the 2 coffees were fine.
Since I was driving I couldn't drink beer, but I tried the beer of my wife and it was really good, so I bought also 4 bottles to carry home. The strange thing was to see that my glass of half liter water at 55 Kč cost more than half liter beer: now I understand why Czech Republic is in the first position in the ranks for beer drinking! To be more precise the water was 20 Kč (with 18 Kč you get a small beer!) but they added also a small slice of orange which I didn't ask and that was incredibly 35 Kč (there was a "teekanne red orange" in the bill for that price, I suppose it was that because we didn't order other things, or otherwise she simply cheated us and added in the bill an extra glass of tea that we didn't order, I hope not).
All in all is a good place, very comfortable in the main center, it has a nice atmosphere, the beers are very good and definitely cheap for a foreigner, but also the food: about 8 euros for a beef Flank Steak in my opinion is quite a cheap price.
If they will translate the menu in other languages the rating will be one point higher for me (and the waitress would maybe receive a tip from more comfortable foreign tourists in that case). They should do it, it's a clever idea ;)More
