What a secret gem this place. I love small hotels like this and try to find them all over the world. Schreiners has got to be my favorite one so far. I kinda want to keep it as my little secret but at the same time want people to have the great experience that my husband and I had this past week! If you are past wanting to stay at totally overpriced hotel factories, then keep reading.
The minute we were welcomed upon our arrival I fell in love with this place. We stayed in the "Salettel" for 3 nights, it is the garden house on the property with a porch. The room was super clean, and decorated to the smallest detail. We found everything we needed and more in the room including a coffee machine, tea kettle, wine, beer, water, toothbrush, comb, lotion and condoms.
Breakfast was served outside, fabulous yoghurt w/honey, fruit and nuts. Homemade jam, fresh ham/salami and cheese, freshly made apple strudel, coffee/tea, juice and bread and rolls were also served. An awesome way to start the day.
We also had dinner at Schreiners one night, what a delight. The service was stunning thanks to the two young ladies that were always smiling and making sure we were happy!
Parking is available around the corner in a private parking garage. The tram line 49 is in front of the hotel that will take you downtown if you dont want to walk. There is also a bike rental down the street, super easy rental!
Would I stay here again?YES I certainly would!
