Driving down the A28 towards Canterbury where I saw a road side sign, Perry Court Farm and Tea Rooms. Just that time of day when you need a cuppa and a bite.
Once you negotiate the pot holes it is a nice set up with the comprehensive farm shop to one side and the café in a separate farm building. Ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea and chose one of the many home made cakes. ( Ginger cake) The slice was so big I had to take half of it away with me in tin foil. Staff were young and very pleasant. The café has not been open that long whereas the shop has been open for decades apparently. A mixture of young and old were patronizing the café. There were two papers to read which was nice as I was on my own. I will certainly go back.
Stopped off as we wanted to visit the farm shop and popped into the cafe Biscuits, for tea and cakes. All the cakes are homemade and the portions were larger than One normally experiences. My daughter and I shared a piece of ginger cake and it was as good as any I have tasted. My wife had the coffee gateaux and it was both excellent and too much for her. Tea was sufficient for three cups each and the staff extremely friendly.
The farm shop is impressive especially the variety of apple juices pressed from the fruit grown on site. Worth a visit,
A favourite place to shop. Great produce at competitive prices. Always a warm welcome from the helpful staff
Thank you for your kind words. We love our cheese room too. We hope to see you again soon :)
Wow did. These guys and girls work hard at the open weekend. We visited today and had a lovely time. Unfortunately the heavy rain yesterday stopped the apple picking as it was muddy. However we were able to buy the fab apples and pears. A variety of craft stalls and machinery to see. The boys loved the donkeys and were amazed at the shire horses. Everyone involved should. In my opinion, pat themselves on the back.
On the way to Canterbury, needed to stop and came across Perry Court farm shop and café,on the A28 Canterbury road.We made use of the wc found to be very clean and tidy, the staff are friendly and helpful, the coffee is Great!!! cake also!!! in fact all the food looked and tasted wholesome!, all in all a pleasant break, we would highly recommend stopping here! :-)
Lovely big farm shop. Superb local produce from your potatoes and root veg to your exotic frozen fruits, perry court farm has it all!! A particular favourite of mine is the home pressed perry court farm apple juice, refreshing and yummy!!
Thank you Rob for your kind review! Tom will start pressing the new discovery juice in a couple of weeks!
