Jusr stopped for a snack on a walk—the coffee walnut cake and Victoria sponge, as well as a very tasty cream tea. Everything was excellent, but the best thing was the nice people. Jess was such a sweetheart and helped us choose the best options, and took multiple pictures of us on request (we were traveling through). Can’t recommend this quaint little destination enough—and next door is a shop with all sorts of fresh farm produce and baked goods. I found some fresh cob nuts (hazelnuts to us Americans) for a great price and they’re amazing, great sweet corn. We just missed the fish stand that opens up fridays and Saturday am till 13:00, too bad. Pick up some local produce after a good meal!
Thank you so much for your kind words - we hope to see you again soon!
Saw this on computer when looking for places to go around Ashford. Visited last week while on a short break. Husband and son had the ploughman's which was quite the biggest I have seen and such a nice selection on the platter. I had a sandwich which was lovely made with home made bread. The staff were very friendly and it was very good value for money.
Visited the farm shop afterwards and bought some goodies including some of the cheese which was in the ploughman's. The cakes looked superb and such big slices. Next time we are in the area would love to go back and sample the cakes. Didn't have room after the lunch. Well done.
Thank you so much for your kind words - we hope to see you again soon!
Biggest ploughman's lunch we have ever seen - it was delicious and big enough for two! The produce in the farm shop is excellent - in variety and quality. And with some cute animals just outside - what's not to like!
Thank you for the lovely review! We hope to see you again soon :)
Driving down the A28 towards Canterbury where I saw a road side sign, Perry Court Farm and Tea Rooms. Just that time of day when you need a cuppa and a bite.
Once you negotiate the pot holes it is a nice set up with the comprehensive farm shop to one side and the café in a separate farm building. Ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea and chose one of the many home made cakes. ( Ginger cake) The slice was so big I had to take half of it away with me in tin foil. Staff were young and very pleasant. The café has not been open that long whereas the shop has been open for decades apparently. A mixture of young and old were patronizing the café. There were two papers to read which was nice as I was on my own. I will certainly go back.
Stopped off as we wanted to visit the farm shop and popped into the cafe Biscuits, for tea and cakes. All the cakes are homemade and the portions were larger than One normally experiences. My daughter and I shared a piece of ginger cake and it was as good as any I have tasted. My wife had the coffee gateaux and it was both excellent and too much for her. Tea was sufficient for three cups each and the staff extremely friendly.
The farm shop is impressive especially the variety of apple juices pressed from the fruit grown on site. Worth a visit,
A favourite place to shop. Great produce at competitive prices. Always a warm welcome from the helpful staff
Thank you for your kind words. We love our cheese room too. We hope to see you again soon :)
