First of all, I was surprised by the volume and genres of jazz available in Prague. After reading the reviews, this was one of two locations we decided to check out and it did not disappoint. You have to check the schedule for all the jazz venues in Prague to determine if you want to go see the act or not. So, this venue itself is built for Jazz. It is a cozy underground bunker and you almost felt like you were in someones basement with a live band. There is no food served here like at some other places, so eat before you come or grab a quite bite and hurry back during a break. Jazz in Prague...who knew:-)
Thank You very much for a such nice review :-)
The band we saw was excellent, all five members highly skilled delivering a memorable world-class performance. Staff are great and the entrance and drink prices are very reasonable. Near the Old Town Square this place is well worth a visit.

Loved our visit! Drinks and entrance was fairly priced and waiters friendly. Music was good and atmosphere was great! Def a must do if you are a Jazz lover when in Prague!! Will definitely see me again !

We had never been to a Jazz bar however there are quite a few that you pass whilst walking around the city centre at night that you can hear the music, due to this we decided to dedicate an evening to experiencing a jazz barr. We were lucky enough to be able to get tickets to AghaRTA and we were not disappointed in any way, the venue is quite intimate holding approximately 80 people and we saw Petra and her band who were very good and have opened up our horizons to experience more Jazz.

Just off the Old Town Square you can find this jazz club downstairs off street level...the room is charming seating about 100 at tables with service. On our first eve it town I sough out some music and this was a superb find, both the quality of the room, its size and the 4 person band was quite good...I plan on going back during our 3 day stay in Prague and if you like music this is a must.

I enjoy Jazz very much, where I am from Boston, USA, we have a wonderful club named scullers and I have seen many wonderful Jazz shows there. Being in Prague now for several months I wanted to venture out to a Jazz club. I was able to take a close friend who had never been to a live Jazz concert before. The evening was fanatstic, I called first and the very kind voice on the phone took my name and said there were tables left and it would be held until 9PM. We arrived at 9:15 and the table was still waiting for us. The price was 250 kc or about 12USD per person. A very nice young lady came to our table asked us if we wanted a drink, she arrived back quickly and price for the drinks were very resonable as well. The show was great, and to my suprise my friend who was Czech knew one of the band memebrs as he was very popular musician in CZ. The sets were two or three songs and then a 5 or 10 minute intermision, just enough time to have a quiet conversation the group played for 3 hours. In club is two stories down inside a wonderful stone cave, the temperature was just right not cold and not to warm. The sounds were excellent. I very much plan to return. Jazz is truely alive in Prague!!!
