Nice place probably a great hotel, but never pay for a wedding reception here. Worst food I have ever had at a wedding reception. Mahi Mahi was the worst I have ever tasted. Cold and dry. Appitizer service during the cocktail was poor.

My experience with the Glidden House was wonderful. I stayed there for two nights recently for an interview, and they were great. They are within walking distance of Case Western University's campus, and close to several places to eat as well as within walking distance to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and Museum of Art. I drove up to Ohio originally and was able to park my car for $10/day, which is much less than other hotels nearby. The staff was phenomenal: Everyone was extremely nice and friendly throughout my stay, even wishing me "good luck" on the morning of my interview and asking me about it when I returned back from the hotel. The room was quite comfortable and clean (and I personally thought well decorated, better than most hotels that I stay in with a quirky yet clean-cut style). The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of electrical outlits and lights. The bathroom was also clean and honestly better than my shower at home. The breakfast buffet in the mornings was OUTSTANDING. They have a large variety of items including oatmeal, Greek yogurt (with a variety of things to add including blueberries, strawberries, granola, etc.), different types of starch foods (mini waffles one day, sweet potato pancakes the next), eggs, bacon, meats/cheeses, pastries (scones, croissants, etc.), and they even had these little mini strawberry smoothies one morning. I was unable to enjoy the "happy hour" or restaurant associated with the hotel because of my own scheduled activities, but they both seemed great (from walking by while coming in/out of the hotel). Overall, I am 100% satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to other guests.

My wife and I spent one night at Glidden House. It is within walking distance of Severance Hall, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Our room was large and comfortable, with adequate lighting for reading. Parking is free, and a hot buffet breakfast was included. A kind reception lady let us to keep our car in the parking lot after checking out so we could walk to the art museum. The breakfast room is quite dark, as was the fashion when the mansion was built, so if you want to read your newspaper (free in the lobby) while you eat, bring a flashlight.

Highly recommend this hotel in the heart of University Circle. It’s an easy stroll to some of the cities best museums, and a short walk over to Little Italy for dinner and the RTA station to catch a train downtown. The rooms were really nice and the small bar in the lobby made for a nice way to cap off the night. The staff was incredibly helpful, particularly the young lady at the front desk who retrieved a lost bag of souvenirs from the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame for us and mailed it to our home. I wish I knew her name so I could recognize her personally. Very family friendly for vacationers and a great place to stay for someone doing business in the area. Also remarkably quiet for a hotel in the middle of a large city. Can’t wait to go back to Cleveland just to stay here again!

This is what I look for in a hotel. Comfortable bed. High pressure shower. Hot water. Clean room. Great location. And an incredible complimentary breakfast buffet, with a large variety of hot and cold items to choose from, including fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, yogurt, bakery items, with new items each morning (I wish I had taken a picture of the buffet). Wow! All at a very reasonable rate. This hotel delivered!!!
