Lovely quaint beach with fantastic natural and man-made sites for snorkeling / diving.

A definite get-away destinations from other more touristic and busy parts of the island

Black volcanic pebbled beach. Very good dive site but less so for sunbathing. Boats by the bay. Also very good for snorkling.
So if active in the water very good. If looking for a chilled hang out on the beach place less so.

One of the surprising highlight of my Bali trip. This is a volcanic beach, with rocky/pebbly/black sands. Not really a place to lie around in the beach. However, climb the cliff on the East end of the beach, turn around, and you'll get one of the most beautiful landscape view in Bali. Come here at sunset. and you'll have local and other tourist as company, all singing together with an accoustic guitar, sitting at the rock, just marvelling at the sight of the sunset framed by Mt. Agung in the distance, and The bay. Snorkeling and diving is also fantastic here, everything is slow, easygoing, and peaceful. Highly recommended.

Busy enough but also quiet, friendly and safe with great local food and choice of accommodation. Not to forget the night dive we did in the bay seeing all sorts of wee creatures that venture out after nightfall. Great base to snorkel or dive from to see the close by coral reefs or wrecks. Most dives are beach dives to advanced depths...we will go back.
